GARDA LAKE AND CHRISTMAS MARKETS IN TRENTINO-ALTO ADIGE
A trip to Lake Garda in winter… why not? The weather is pleasant and the view is wonderful, but we at SM Events have decided to make this trip even more magical by enriching it with a visit to the traditional Christmas Markets of Trentino-Alto Adige. From the end of November, the picturesque squares and streets of Bolzano, Brunico and Bressanone come alive with stalls and Christmas music, shine with lights and smell of gingerbread and mulled wine.
DAY 1: LAKE GARDA
Arrival at Lake Garda and time for a leisure trip around the lake to admire the idyllic panorama. Along the way visit the many places that embellish the lake: Sirmione, Manerba, Salò, Gardone, Riva del Garda etc. Accommodation in a hotel near the lake, dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: BOLZANO
After breakfast, depart towards Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol. There you will meet your guide and visit the historical town by foot: wander through the narrow and traditional streets, browse through the many small shops, visit the Ötzi Museum in South Tyrol Archaeological Museum or indulge yourself in one of the traditional Tyrolean pubs. In the afternoon, time at disposal for a stroll through the beautiful Christmas market: the characteristic wooden huts at Walther square sell typical Christmas decorations in glass, wood and ceramics, as well as gastronomic specialties and delicious Christmas cakes such as the famous Bolzano “Zelten”. Accommodation in a hotel in the surroundings of Bolzano / Bressanone / Brunico, dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: BRESSANONE AND BRUNICO
After breakfast full-day excursion to the Christmas markets of Bressanone e Brunico. During the Advent in Bressanone and Brunico a very special time begins. The glow of the Christmas lights ensure a warm atmosphere throughout the medieval towns evoking an anticipation of joy and laughter for what is the best time of the year. The whole day is at your disposal to stroll around the many festively decorated stalls, and enjoy the magical atmosphere and its sweet Christmas fragrances. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight
DAY 4: BRESSANONE – HOME JOURNEY
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for your home-journey.
