GOURMET AND CHIC AUTUMN: TRUFFLES AND SHOPPING IN EMILIA ROMAGNA AND SAN MARINO

Summer is over, alas, but autumn is a season full of colours and flavours that we at SM Events are particularly fond of: the grape harvest and the new wine, the gathering of chestnuts and mushrooms in colourful woods… and let’s not forget its majesty, the precious white truffle!

We have therefore thought of a special tour for you, combining flavours, art and shopping!!

DAY 1: BOLOGNA, VISIT TO THE FICO FOOD PARK AND ADRIATIC RIVIERA

Arrival in Bologna, capital of the Emilia Romagna region, which in Italy is nicknamed “Bologna la grassa” (Bologna the fat one), for its thousand-year-old gastronomic tradition.
You will visit FICO, the first “agri-food park” dedicated to the promotion of Italian culinary heritage. Inside the park, you will have the opportunity to discover dozens of culinary specialities. Discover them as well as taste and buy them. Not forgetting to see how they are made.
You can participate in a culinary workshop to learn how to prepare pasta and export this knowledge to your country.
Continue to the Adriatic Coast, check in at your hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2: RAVENNA AND RIMINI

After breakfast, departure for Ravenna, city of Byzantine mosaics, where a guide will be waiting for you. Visit to the Basilica of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the Church of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo.
Return to Rimini, visit of the city and its Roman remains and in the late afternoon visit of an agricultural farm with tasting of wines, olive oil and specialities of the region.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: TRUFFLE FESTIVAL IN SANT’AGATA FELTRIA

After breakfast departure to Sant’Agata Feltria, a small village located a few kilometres from the coast, towards the Apennines, where the Truffle Festival takes place every year (every weekend in October). Visit to the stands and tasting of local products. Walk through the village and explanation of how to find truffles. Typical lunch with truffles.
Free afternoon to visit and buy local products: sheep’s cheese, cold cuts, honey etc.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: SAN MARINO AND SHOPPING

After breakfast, departure to San Marino, the smallest Republic in the world, a true medieval beauty which, since 2008, is part of the UNESCO heritage.
Visit of its castles, towers, the Government Palace and the Freedom Palace.
In the afternoon, you will have some free time for shopping at the San Marino Outlet Experience: opened in 2021, this outlet houses important boutiques and big names of Italian and international fashion such as Prada, Dolce e Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Timberland etc.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
